Virtual Pokemon Go Disneyland Postcards

I was late to the party, but on July 11, 2024 I started playing Pokemon Go, and have virtually walked 5642 km (3505 miles) since I started playing the game, and caught 82,043 Pokemon. And at some point while playing I made a virtual friend in the game who sends me Disneyland Resort postcards every day! When I received the first one, I was pretty excited as I had never seen a Disneyland (or other Disney park) postcard in the game. I then went looking online and found that every Disney park worldwide has many pokestops with all kinds of great postcards. As a huge Disneyland (and Disney in general) fan and collector, these have become fun new additions to my collection. Each day when another one shows up, its my little bit of Disney pixie dust for the day!

Disney's California Adventure Post Cards

I found some Disney's California Adventure postcards amongst all the various postcards at the thrift shop the other day. I picked them up because I enjoy collecting Disney postcards, but I have to say that these are some of the lamest Disney postcards I have ever seen. Generally Disneyland postcards have iconic images that make you want to go to Disneyland. These DCA postcards illustrate why the park has been such a failure. If these are the best images they could come up with, I certainly would not want to visit the park based on these postcards. And I am guessing that who ever bought these postcards at the park got home and realized just how lame they were and donated them to the local thrift shop.
Hopefully with the huge makeover the park is receiving, they will be some postcards in the future worth adding to my collection.

Shopping in the Mall is a Family Affair

Shopping in the Mall is a Family Affair... who knew? Apparently the owners of this mall in Fremont, Nebraska knew this in the 60's, as they put out this lovely postcard for the Fremont Mall letting everyone know that malls indeed are a great place for families to spend some quality time together!
Judging from the empty parking lot in the picture, I would guess that the owners of the Fremont Mall would like a whole lot more families to show up and enjoy their mall!
